International Federation of Computer Law Associations

IFCLA is a network of IT and computer law experts. We bring together legal and data privacy professionals, academics and policymakers from around the world to share knowledge, discuss emerging issues and shape the future of digital law. We are based in the EU.

About IFCLA

IFCLA, the International Federation of Computer Associations, was founded in December 1986 by the European national computerlaw associatons to promote international collaboration and exchange of information in computer law.

Nowadays, as of 2025, IFCLA stands for all who advocate for computer law related topics, think techlaw, data privacy, AI and cybersecurity. Becoming an IFCLA member means joining the IFCLA family and network, a network of peers sharing knowledge.

Upcoming Events

Our conferences bring together experts from around the globe to discuss the latest trends and challenges in IT law. Mark your calendars for next year’s event!

Next event: #IFCLA2026 in Berlin – June 11 & 12 2026!

What we do

We organize get2gethers and webinars. Every year we organize the annual IFCLA Conference, a two-day event with international peers and speakers from all over Europe and accross.

Topics relate to tech law, data privacy, AI, cybersecurity and digital regulations. With these events, we facilitate sharing knowledge between experts with various backgrounds. We strongly believe that we need each other and each others expertises to think of new ideas!

IFCLA was founded by computer law associations and they are still the foundation of our organisation. We facilitate the exchange of knowledge between IFCLA members, associations and legal experts. In this way we promote international cooperation and best practices in technology law; creating the best network for peers possible!

Our Mission

Sharing knowledge, that is the idea!
